Purpose: To catalogue and make available music and other historical materials related to The Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps and, more generally, American Military Field Music.

The Library Staff is divided into two groups, the Arranging Staff and the Research Staff.

The Arranging Staff: Arranges and writes all music and marching drill performed by The Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps.

The Research Staff: Manages and seeks to expand the various collections of the Library.

All music and drill currently being performed by The Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps and an archive of music and drill performed since 1960.

The Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps Archive
Photos, Articles, Videos, Personnel Rosters and other documents related to the history of The Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps

Field Music Library
Materials related to American Military Field Music including historical Instruction Manuals, and Music Books, contemporary books, recordings and videos of Fife, Drum and Bugle music and published research relating to American Military Field Music.

Reference Materials
Standard Reference materials such as Groves Dictionary of Music, Theory texts, etc.

Professional Development Materials
Materials for use by members of The Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps to enhance their abilities as soldiers and musicians.

The Library of American Military Field Music conducts educational programming for The Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps on a regular basis. These classes include topics such as the Musicians Uniform of the American Revolution, History of the Fife, Bugle, Field Snare Drum and Bass Drum and History of The Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps.
